Get to Know Stone

Stone is a singer-songwriter who was born and raised in North Carolina. She grew up around music her whole life yet is primarily self-taught. She received brief music lessons in her adolescence but her voice has always traveled unattended. She is an independent musician and is accompanied by musical backing tracks or her acoustic guitar. Her friends call her the traveling jukebox and her fans call her a pleasant melody. Stone performs in a variety of musical genres, including artists, bands, and decades. This brings eclectic variety and something for everyone to appreciate. Wherever stone is needed she does not disappoint.

She goes by "Stone," (a family name). This name comes from her father's side. She decided on this stage name after her grandfather passed away in 2020. He had always talked about how keeping the family name alive was important to him before his passing. She knew calling herself "Stone," was the best way to honor his wish, and not to mention the name felt like home to her. Her grandfather was always a fan of music and her music especially. Unfortunately, her grandfather's passing was unexpected as he took his life in 2020. This was devastating to her. However, she used this experience to provide purpose for her sound. She asked the question: "What power does music hold?" Well, she found it holds influence, congregation, and sometimes needed hope. Stone's biggest dream is to use this discovered musical superpower for something bigger.
